Each guestroom at Anchorage Mahogany Manor Bed & Breakfast is unique, private and comfortable, and your lodging accommodations offer private bath rooms. Each bedroom is also equipped with top down blinds to offer you maximum privacy while affording you the enchanting vistas that surround the manor. In winter, guest accommodations have a view of the city skyline or mountains. In summer, views are of the estate's private forest.

Governor's Suite

 The Governor's Suite in summer offers families and traveling couples a private apartment type atmosphere.  It also works great for 2 single traveling companions that enjoy their own sleeping space and don't mind sharing a bath.  Enjoy views of our courtyard and downtown skyline to the north and the private deck to the south offers a view of our private woodlands and midtown skyline.This is a large three-room apartment style suite with 2 private bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a double bed. You'll enjoy a spacious common sitting area which is furnished with a table, chairs, sofa and large screen cable TV with DVD/VCR. The huge private deck overlooks the 3-season solarium where the whirlpool swim spa is located. A private ceramic tile bath has a shower and double vanity. There is an ample supply of closet space and counter tops. Your suite common area has a wall of sliding glass doors on thIn winter, this transforms into a 2 room suite for business travelers, offering a separate bedroom and large common or sitting  area for relaxing or conducting business in a comfortable private atmosphere.  High speed Internet access and private phone line in each guest room.  Corp. & Gov't single rates are often availble.e south side that overlooks your private forest. To the north, a wall of windows overlooks the downtown skyline and our courtyard with an abundance of trees and raised flower beds during the growing season. The Governor's Suite is located on the main level with the guest kitchen and entry area nearby and is accessible without stairs. The Iditarod Room

Iditarod room.   Each guestroom offers a queen or king beds and private bath. This room is furnished with a king bed (or 2 twin beds upon request and additional cost). You will overlook the courtyard with an abundance of trees and raised colorful flowerbeds in summer and a wonderful view of the downtown skyline year round. The Iditarod Room is located on the main level with the guest kitchen and entry area nearby and is accessible without stairs. The Cabin Room and Audubon Room

Cabin room.  In order to enhance your experience, each guest room is equipped with bottom-up blinds affording you maximum privacy while still taking in the spectacular views of your downtown lodge.  Your guest accommodations will overlook the courtyard and downtown skyline or our private woodlands and mountains or midtown skyline.  The Cabin and Audubon rooms offer quiet seclusion on the lower level boasting views of our private forest from 2 walls of windows. They are quite different in appearance and equally inviting in warmth and coziness. One offers a warm wood interior and the other offers a light and bright ambiance. Access to the Cabin room is down the floating, solid oak spiral staircase (14 steps) and through the PUFFIN PARLOR, while the Audubon has a private entrance from an outside deck. Each of these guest rooms has a lovely private bath with tub/shower combo. As Mahogany Manor is located on a bluff with Cabin room. Alaskan Royal Suite

 Another view of the Alaskan Royal Suite at Anchorage Mahogany Manor Bed and Breakfast Inn.  Because our location is in downtown near city center, we are within easy access to many fine restaurants and area attractions as well as major streets, the railroad, cruise terminal and the airport.Gracious and luxurious, the Alaskan Royal Suite is located in a very private area on the lower level and accessed down the floating, solid oak spiral staircase (14 steps) and through the PUFFIN PARLOR. A stunning white brick fireplace compliments the room interior of warm redwood walls and ceiling. The bottom-up blinds afford you maximum privacy while allowing you to take in the beauty of the surrounding woodlands. An generous and elegant in-suite ceramic tile bath offers a tub, separate extra large shower and spacious double ceramic tile vanity. The dressing area has an abundance ofThe Alaskan Royal Suite is our most luxurious accommodation offering a comfortable king bed, lovely white brick fireplace and ample bath area with double vanity, tub and separate extra large shower.   The sleeping area is separated from the bath by a mirrored dressing area.  The walls of windows overlook our private woods. mirrors. Additional comforts include telephone, clock-radio, cable TV, VCR, iron and ironing board, robes, slippers, hair dryer and amenity basket. Enjoy seclusion and privacy as you gaze through two walls of windows. To the south, the Manor bluff location offers you a bit of sunshine shimmering through the surrounding woodlands. During the winter there is also a clear view of the mountains and midtown skyline. A hearty Continental breakfast* is available at any time in the guest kitchen at your leisure. Room rates are quoted for one or two guests except as noted. A $25 surcharge applies for each roll-away bed or extra person, which may be requested subject to availability. 12% bed tax will be added to all rates. Single night stays are charged an additional $10. Between June 15-25, 2007, there is a minimum 5 night stay and no discounts apply. Government, military, corporate and AARP rates may be available if requested at time of booking. Guests during high season may enjoy the whirlpool between 7-10 PM each evening. Use of whirlpool is not included in the cost of low season rates and is subject to weather conditions. Guests staying with us during low season may request use at an additional cost.
